VUE/boulder
Events that echo, with a view that speaks.

Welcome up. VUE/boulder is the new rooftop in downtown Boulder: one private elevator above The Annex on Walnut, the Flatirons filling every window, a room built to hold a soft ceremony at four and a full dance floor at nine. We open in early November, and we are not going to make you wait at the door to see it. Over the next few months these notes bring you along for the last of the construction dust, the first night the lights come on, and the season that follows.

You are here because you make events happen in Boulder and Denver, and we want you in the room early. Some of you have a date on our calendar. Some have worked with our team for years and are curious what we are up to now. Some we met once at a party and liked immediately. Whichever one you are, come watch this place come together and be first through the door when it opens.

Holiday season
Come in from the cold. December is open.

Cocktails on the roof under the heaters, dinner and dancing inside, and the Flatirons in snow out every window. The holiday page is live, and it is the best look yet at a winter night at VUE/boulder: one private elevator up, the whole fourth floor yours, room for 150 at dinner with the rooftop open all night.

We are opening in early November, which means our December calendar is wide open in a town where the good holiday dates were gone months ago. If you plan a company party, a team dinner, or a family gathering that goes big, there is room for you, and a rooftop hot cocoa bar from Oak & Olive or Cocktail Caravan to warm it up. If you know someone who does, send them this.

Welcome to the team
Meet Alexandra Beekley, Venue Director.
Alexandra Beekley at the VUE/boulder site on Walnut Street

Alexandra Beekley grew up in a small town in North Idaho, where she learned early that good things happen when people know and look out for one another. She carried that outlook with her when she moved to Colorado in search of new opportunities and a bigger stage.

Her career has always centered on people. She began in retail, working face to face with customers and learning what it takes to make someone feel genuinely cared for. From there she moved into communications, serving as a liaison for companies and building lasting relationships with local businesses to help create a more supportive, connected community.

As Venue Director, Alexandra brings that same relationship-first approach to VUE/boulder. She is honored to carry forward a project shaped by such caring individuals and is excited about the many ways VUE will make its mark on Boulder, both for the people who celebrate here and for the local partners who help bring every event to life.

After five years in Colorado, you will often find her on a hiking trail or packing up for a weekend of camping. Closer to home, she loves discovering new corners of Denver and Boulder with the friends and family who make this place feel like home.

Alexandra is the point of contact for every client, partner, and lead. Reach her at alexandra@vueboulder.com.

The Alpenglow Effect
Light that fills the room instead of sitting on top of it.

A few of you saw a glimpse of this in September. The event space carries two walls of individually controlled light columns and an illuminated bar, all behind smoked acrylic, so the light comes through soft and organic rather than technical. We call it the Alpenglow Effect, after the rose light that settles on the Flatirons at the end of a clear day. It is less a light show than a mood the whole room takes on. Through the quiet stretches of an evening the room holds a warm neutral. When the night opens up, the walls open with it. Natural by day. Electric at night. Set your vibe.

We built a digital preview before the walls were powered: real control data driving a simulation of the installed system, rendered onto photographs of the room. It is a work in progress and private for now.

The light show, before anyone else sees it. Private preview.

Building update
The elevator is in, and the details are landing.

A note from the project manager. After years of planning and eighteen months of construction, the final details of VUE/boulder are taking shape. The main elements of the space are finished. The private elevator went in this month, the last trim is going into the first and fourth floor lobbies, and the floor and tile work is wrapping up. Every detail was chosen to be a welcoming backdrop for a client's design vision while being tasteful enough to stand on its own. The bar and prep kitchen equipment is installed, and the feedback from our catering partners on their tours has been fantastic: the back of house makes it easy to deliver the service and quality our guests expect. Two big elements remain, the lighting system with the bar, and the final installs on the patio. We could not be happier with the design and finish selections, and the big crescendos are coming.

The ghost chairs are waiting in storage. The furniture arrived this month too: one hundred eighty clear ghost chairs, twenty round dinner tables, ten banquet tables, and ten cocktail tables, sitting in storage until the room is ready for them. It is the first delivery that is about the party rather than the building, and it makes the finish line feel real.

Hard hat tours continue. If you are booked with us, or thinking about it, this is the month to see the room in person while it is still becoming itself. Email alexandra@vueboulder.com and Alexandra will get you up here.

Launch events in motion
One for our clients, one for the industry.

Afterglow Social, a November event. Our open house for booked and prospective clients. Cocktails on the roof and tablescapes from partners we love, with a chance to meet the other couples and companies celebrating here in 2027. Invitations coming soon.

VUE/partners, a first look at the VUE. Early December. For planners and the partners who make events happen in Boulder and Denver. Instead of one big night, we are hosting a run of intimate gatherings on the rooftop over two days, each with its own energy, and you choose the one you want. Every gathering includes a walk through the finished room with Alexandra Beekley and a taste of what our catering and bar partners do best.

Both are by invitation, and space at VUE/partners is limited. If you are a planner or partner and want to be considered, request an invitation here. If you are one of our clients, email alexandra@vueboulder.com and we will save you a spot at Afterglow Social. We cannot wait to get you up here.

Why we built it
Two rooms in one, built with intent.

By day, VUE/boulder is soft and bright. White walls and clean lines so the design can do the talking, floral that pops against them, and a ceiling built for rigging so a designer hangs the statement instead of working around one. The windows put Boulder in the room: the Flatirons, the sky, the whole range. Open, modern, architectural, and a little feminine in the best way. A daytime ceremony here looks like the mountains staged it.

Then the sun goes down and the beat drops. The lights flare, the walls wake up, and the room that held a soft, romantic ceremony an hour ago becomes an electric dance floor with its own light show. The bar changes with it, all soft curves by day and alive with moving light by night, and Soft Strength, the art installation behind it, trades gentle texture for deep shadow and sharp relief.

The same room holds a podium and a screen for a gala or a company presentation, lounge sets on the patio, and a client's logo floating on the light walls in their own brand colors. Every element was chosen to be unique, to make a statement, and to complement the vision of whoever is hosting. We built it with intent, and we want that to show.

The last piece of the intent is Boulder itself. This is a town that shows up for its nonprofits, its arts, and its neighbors, and we are shaping how VUE/boulder helps those events make a bigger impact than they could in a borrowed hall. More on that as it takes form.
